I'm tired of the same old problem. Experts tell us four million pets will be killed this year — many of them because they are homeless. Euthanasia to prevent suffering is one thing, but you and I need to get all of the ADOPTABLE pets into loving homes. Please help me in '08 by either fostering a pet or telling five people about Petfinder each week. Together we can end the euthanasia of adoptable pets.

Happy Tail: Three's Company

Our oldest dog had died, and we wanted a friend for the buddy he left behind. I searched Petfinder and found not one but three Shelties at a shelter in Oklahoma and…we decided to take all three. They had the dogs tested for heartworm and found one was positive. We still couldn't leave her there...and she went through the heartworm treatment fine. Our original furry buddy, Yogi, passed away about four months after we got the Shelties, but they have helped us by giving us somewhere to use the hugs we miss giving him.
Hershey, Lassie and Anabel were adopted from Bethany Animal Shelter, Bethany, Okla.
