has anyone heard from ron ?
please don't forget fritz during your searches.
*************************************************************
previously posted...........................
Please everyone who is still searching please remember ron
and his kitty fritz. i have ron's email. so if you want to pm me
i can send it to you. i can't remember if it is somewhere in this
thread or not.
thank you all.
BELOW is where we left off with this thread.........
ron.... going through a posted list of pets found that was in the
new orleans paper last week.... not sure you got that paper but
if not you might want to get a copy to look for yourself.
someone posted a list on another thread...kind of hard to read....
so getting the actual paper would probably be much better....some of
the PF numbers are not coming up so if you encounter that problem
let someone know, even if you just post that info in this thread and
ask someone to look into a PF number that won't come up in the
database someone here can look into that.....
okay.... check this one out.... i know short hair but i keep hearing
how they had to cut or shave a lot of the animals and i know it can
take months for fur to grow back.... left ear is tip is missing according
to the description .........
http://disaster.petfinder.com/emergency/rescue/reportDetail.cgi?id=52850
alot of the PF numbers listed i could not get to come up in the database
for some reason ??
i will have to post on that thread and let them know that.....
here is the list i worked off of..... the animals pf numbers are to the
right of the descriptions.... so if it says orange cat the PF number
should follow to the right of that....at least that is the way i see it.
here is a link to the stealth volunteer thread and in that you will
see a link to the papers info.... i will paste in both..........
thread..............

PB-- Hey! I've been on the lookout for Fritz as well and have sent Ron some possible matches...some were from Spiritsmoms flickrsite and he was going to check into one or two of them. I got an e-mail from him a couple of days ago...he is so lovely about acknowledging possible leads.
He was telling me the other day that the kitty they adopted after Katrina has been doing well and that she is as much a part of their family as Fritz is, but that it is almost as if though she (Katya) has intensified the feeling of loss that they feel for Fritz in a strange way. He said that his Miniature Pinscher, Mars, has really taken up with Katya. Mars used to always sit at the door and wait for Fritz to come in after his nightly "potty break" and whine for Ron and his wife to let Fritz back in to the house. Now, actually since the first week he brought Katya home, Katya joins Mars by meowing while he whines nightly for Fritz. That story just breaks my heart and make me want to find Fritz even more. Ron also related to me that it is getting harder rather than easier with time and that the empty spot in their family can only be filled by Fritz. |

Pf says they think it might be a feral cat. "Current" location says
"transfered to barn home with Barn Cats, Inc." |
yes... meowcat you are correct... PF#44306 and LA870 is the same
cat and was determined to be a female feral now living as a barn
cat... see below for details.
hi... here is the link to this cat in petfinder.......
http://disaster.petfinder.com/emergency/rescue/reportDetail.cgi?id=44306
i emailed them on 11/24/05 and the response was that they decided
that the cat they caught was a FEMALE Feral cat and they had
the cat brought and released to a barn colony.
here is the email i was sent on december 2nd .....
I am forwarding the E-mail I received from Peggy at Barn Cats, Inc.
This cat has already been released to a barn in Texas and it would be
extremely difficult to retrieve it.
The one consolation would be that this cat was listed as female by both
organizations and both believe that this cat is definitely a feral one. She
said that this mostly definitely was not a cuddler. Couldn't pick her up or
get near her.
I've a feeling that Fritz would not react in this manner, since he was a
supremely coddled kitty that was loved very much and given great care.
**** Sheryl *****
AND THE BELOW email was sent to sheryl who forwarded to me.
That cat (#66) was placed in a barn in Trenton, TX with 2 others from
Louisiana....K33 and K67.
They were caged for two weeks beginning on October 22nd then released
on November 5th.
That barn had taken a total of 9 cats from us. It is a BIG OLD BARN with
a huge hay loft and lots
of cat hiding places.
It would be next to impossible to get that cat back.
Did that family say it was a "friendly" cat....because this one was not.

BUT.... i don't know what the other numbers are that you listed
spiritbreathedfireborn ? i can't get on that site.... and those numbers
are not coming up in petfinder ? see below in red... those numbers ?

LOL !!
and thanks !! he's my big babyboy !!
he was one of many i rescued out of my yard when his mama
started dropping kittens all over the place in our yard. she lives
with us now too. and all the others were fixed and adopted and
some had to be re-released. but they have very good insulated
homes and a big covered porch to eat on and hang out in. _________________ RIP my furry boy. Mama loves you.

| I have 7 kitties....my husband and I have rescued them here and there over the years. They are my pride and joy! And, they make us laugh so hard every day! One of our cats was in the 365 Days of Cats Calendar a couple of years ago.....she's my only female (spayed of course) at present b/c my other died of cancer last year. Anyway, my female (Lucky Lou, alias Miss Doodle Maybelinne) goes to the office with my husband on Monday morning and comes back home for the weekend on Friday! She also loves to go to the River with us for the weekend so she can be the "only cat' as she really is NOT a "cat person"!!!!ha |
