I am a certified EARS volunteer and I helped foster etc.....after the 2004 hurricanes here in Florida. I am available to help spread the word for foster homes and will take a few myself if there is a way to get them to the Tampa Bay Area.
If you need money, supplies etc.....I have several wonderful contacts. Just let me know where the needs are.
Thanks for everything you're doing and be safe!

There has been extensive damage from the Southern most part of the state of MS to our Jackson, Ms, area. We have not had an assessment at this time due to lack of communication, downed trees and lines, etc. Many private individuals offered their land for shelter of large animals. The Ms Animal Rescue League and most area vets offered their shelters. Many persons stayed at the Coliseum in the Jackson area where a pet area with kennels was set up and donations were requested for food, etc. We will be able to assess more tomorrow. | RabbbitWise's Bunderground Railroad is an organization of volunteers who transport rabbits at risk to available shelters. We are willing to try to help plan for and transport rabbits out of the hurricane areas. Please contact rabbitwise@boldraven.com for details. It is possible that other critters as appropriate can hitch a ride with the buns. |
