Hi all I am a newbie to this site but it has a lot of good information. I am in Hickory North Carolina and own a 3 month old dalmatian puppy. I am looking at fostering a 8 year old dalmatian from this site also. Just wandering how many other members have dalmatians and if there are any members in the local area.

Thanks
Matt

I have had two. I had the sweetest female named Morgan from when she was a puppy. She apparently didn't know she was a dalmatian because she was so mellow.

Our joke was if she were any more mellow, that she would be dead! jk Wink

My other was a beautiful male named Ben. Both have passed on and I still would adopt another again in a heartbeat.

If I were you, I would wait until your puppy has grown out of hte puppy stage and has had obedience training before you bring another dal on to the scene. A trained dog means happy owners (and dogs!) All I know was when my first dal was a puppy, it was a fulltime job. Give them plenty of exercize and you will enjoy them more. (just my 2cents.)

Have fun!

Welcolme! I have two dalmatians. I have weston who is 3 and Marley who is 1 1/2. Marley is 200% deaf. She is a sweet little girl though & Mr. Weston has epilepsy. He is a little more onrey. She will wait until my back is turned to do something bad *l* but Weston will do it right in front of me (they like stealing food off the table & every time they come inside they sniff the table first thing.) I have noticed that it is extremly difficult to find people who have dals online. I see tons of people who have all different breeds but no one on any of the other message boards I go to have dals. If you want me to I can PM you some addresses for some dal boards. It is always nice to talk to someone who understands how stubborn and crazy dals can be. It is very nice to meet you and i would love to see pics of your pup!

Hi there.

I have one Dal named Dolly. She will be 11 yrs old in Nov. I adopted/rescued her from a high kill shelter in Memphis the day she was scheduled to be put down.

You can see a pic of her in my sig below.

Hi and welcome to Petfinder. I, too, have a 4 year old dal girl. Her name is Cessa. I also foster for Adopt A Spot Dalmatian Rescue. My current foster boy's name is Houston. We are always looking for quality foster homes and have foster homes in the North Carolina area. Check us out at www.adoptaspotdalrescue.com.
