Tracy, I also use the nylon collars mainly because I can wash them.

I like nylon collars and leather collars. I sometimes use a prong collar too depending on where we're going.

Nylon buckle collars. Jake's using a red one now with a metal buckle, kinda like the pic Tracey posted, but he was using a black one beforehand with a plastic buckle (which broke, which is why we're using a new one now). I only use the other collars for training.

I like the half chain half nylon collars called Martingales. I enjoy them for regular every day use collars, and for training.

I like nylon plastic quik clip type collars, but right now Kodiak is wearing a pink polkadotted leather collar from PetSmart.

I reeeeally want to get the Top Rope collar from ruffwear, though.

Something I didn't know before and now appreciate- the rolled leather ones are better for 'long fur' fluffy dogs. The flat ones get hair matted on them and can pull, but the rounded ones don't. Good to know since I adore the long fur breeds best!

Even though they are flat collars, the White Pines collars are also good for "fluffy" dogs - they were developed by Samoyed folks. http://www.whitepineoutfitters.com/

Does anyone know anything about the Knot-a-Collars? They're also made by Ruffwear - who make the Top Rope collars Ren mentioned. They look like they might be a safer alternative for dogs who wear their collars at all times.

Martingales(even though you can never see them through Niki's hair).

If anyone has a hound or short haired dog, they are beautiful!

I use two different types of Martingale collars.

One is a wider one for my Iggy, and has purple snow leopard design
Very Happy
The other is for my Dachshund, who likes to pull a little too much, but its all nylon. I don't like the ones with the chains.
