Hi,
I would like to chat with people about cats. I have 2 at the moment- had 3 up to 3 weeks ago, when I lost my special cat to heart disease. He was only 9 and it came on so suddenly, just before New Years Eve Day- we did all that we could, but nothing could be done. I loved Benson and though the pain has lessened, I still miss him terribly. He was so unique and just a great cat- affectionate in his own way- we would come home at night, and he would be on the counter looking out the window hoping someone was there to feed him! Our bedroom has a window at the head of the bed looking onto a year round porch- we heard this scratching, looked out the window, and there was Benson trying to get our attention- he was just the neatest cat- I love my other two as well, but there was something special about Benson. He lives on in spirit, on my mantel and I still talk to him. I know that he will let me know when I have found the right cat to give a good home to, it will not replace him- he was in a shelter and we gave him a wonderful home for 9 years- just wish we could have had him for another 9 years= |
