Most people put on a DNA list have mistreated an animal via either abuse or neglect.

Wow, I’m glad I read this - I had no idea it was a problem.

Is the problem that people are posting DNA “warnings” that might be untruthful or embellished? I don’t think I’ve ever seen such a post here - certainly not with any personal info included. Yikes!

Ohio--there are probably yahoo groups dedicated to DNA/DNRs in your state--go to www.groups.yahoo.com to find them.

I would think that if you found a news story or something that you could find about the shelter in question, that posting that would be ok, but not completely sure..

I have an e-mail from a person who inquired about a rescue puppy...she put it in writing that she wants this puppy so she can start breeding?

I'm in PA where can I post this info...I have sever e-mail communications this isn't a fake..I'm sure she'll find a "free to good home" puppy but just in case I'd like to make this info public.

Someone just e-mailed me and said it is illegal to post info on this board. I mentioned only the rescue, but I did put a link to their public web page. How is that illegal? I posted about them denying a friends application without giving a reason. Am I missing something here?

any suspected DNA info i always report to the board moderator, never posting it here...then at least they can do the research and/or verify it and act accordingly. otherwise it's slander.

Nothing is slander if it is true & accurate. Has no bearing on the fact that DNA'S & DNR'S are not allowed on PF.

From what I read in the rules and my perception is that you can not list names (first or last or both) or associations of individuals. My perception may be wrong.
