| Okay, well there's the poll. Also, does anyone know how bad it is to overdose a dog on a flea and tick product. Yes, I've got fleas on the brain. Here's the deal... I have these foster cats. When I got them, they had fleas. Only the kittens were about 4 weeks old, so all I could do was flea baths. I guess this occured during the like 1 week lapse in my dogs' flea and tick medication. Well... I thought the fleas went away, but I guess there were a few left and they have repopulated themselves. My dogs have them now. Well, I gave the mom and one kitten who's left advantage and I gave my dogs frontline. Only I gave one of them topspot (about two weeks ago), before I knew there actually WERE fleas. I gave my other dog frontline plus. But now that I know I want to give the first dog frontline plus too since it kills eggs, etc. Also, I would assume that there are eggs all over my house, so does anyone have any suggestions about that. I'm supposed to be having Thanksgiving here and obviously would much prefer to do it sans flea infestation. I have mostly hardwood floors and I have a hard floor cleaner that you put cleaning solution in. So I thought I could put some frontline in the cleaning solution and flea powder eveything else. |

None of the above.
I've always been under the impression that fleas spend less than 1/3 of their life on the actual animal, and the rest of the time repopulating in your carpets. I've also been under the impression that dogs only get dog fleas and cats only get cat fleas! That being said, when advantage and all those other ones come out 12 years ago (or whenever), I didn't feel there had been enough testing done for the animals safety and vets were also pushing heartworm medication and a friend of mine's dog died after getting the heartworm stuff, so I didn't want to put anything on my dogs! I also didn't want fleas in my house! I started using sepitrol spray for the house and except for a couple of really warm winters when the fleas didn't die off and I HAD to treat the dogs, they've never had a flea problem. _________________ waiting for a home - Ben
