Dog Walk and Rescue Day at Walkway Over The Hudson State Historic Park on April 20, 2013.
Located at 87 Haviland Rd. Highland NY 12528
Come to the east and west sides of the bridge to start off this great day with a dog Walk from 9:00am-11:00am. There will be a pet etiquette discussion and walkway doggie memberships as well as dog bandana raffles!
Then from 11:00am-4:00pm, On the West Side there will be dog adoptions from shelters all over New York State and activities such as face painting and balloon animals for children. http://www.clownsrus.us/home/
Plus a visit from the mascot “Harvey the Hound”! Photo Opportunities will be available.
If you adopt a dog you will receive a gift bag!
Workshops about how to introduce your dogs to one another, doggie body language, and information on heat exhaustion will be discussed by Pet and Play Resort. http://www.petnplayresort.com/
Dirty dogs pet wash will be present handing out information.
There will be an Iams representative giving out information about their dog food.
Cakes by Meg will be making dog friendly treats. http://cakesbymeganlyons.blogspot.com/
Event T-Shirts will be available.
There will be a Pet Food & Supply drive where you can drop off dog food, cat food, treats, beds, toys and old blankets. These donated items will be divided up and given to the shelters that participate in Dog Rescue Day!
