Daisey (Pittsburgh, PA) happy tails page

Daisey is a sweet Beagle, roughly 8 years old. Her owner had acquired her from an acquaintance and only kept her a short time before surrendering her at our shelter because the owner couldn't afford vet care bills. Daisey did need some vet attention when she arrived, including some skin allergies and having a benign mammary lump removed, but she now has a clean bill of health. We think that Daisey was primarily an outside dog, perhaps a hunting dog. Because of that, she will likely need some house-training help if she is going to become a mostly indoor dog. She's very sweet and good-natured and would make a nice family dog. She's also friendly with cats as you can tell from her pictures. If you're looking for an older, more settled small dog, please consider our Daisey. She's now in a foster home so if you're interested in meeting her, please contact Dawna at dawnathomas@gmail.com.
Hope the fostering provides the house-training needed.

Baby, baby won't you stay by me? This sweet 12 year old terrier mix is certain to turn heads. She is only 20 pounds but is tall and leggy, with pointed ears and a spry face. A sweet senior, Baby is looking to keep a person or another dog company and provide them with lots of love and a little bit of exercise. Her owner is a health care professional whose work demands means that she is rarely home. Her best canine friend passed a while back and she is very miserable being by herself except for very brief visits. Her owner cannot keep her but she also knows that she will not survive an open door shelter. She is looking urgently to place Baby in a good home so she won't be faced with bringing her to a premature end. In the pictures you see her with her coat enjoying a stroll in the woods. This senior girl is healthy, has lots of spunk left in her and would be perfect for someone who is retired or works from home and would do well in an apartment or a house. Baby, it's cold outside, and this Baby will snuggle into your heart and keep you warm at night. Please consider taking this senior girl.

Fancy and Armani are a bonded pair. They are 10 and 9 respectively. Fancy is a long haired brown Chihuahua who is very attached to her friend Armani who is a smooth coated tan Chihuahua. They are both very sweet little girls who love to be held and cuddled. They weigh 5 to 6 pounds and do well with other small dogs. They are also house trained.
