*Why choose Me?** *Munson is a good looking American Bulldog who is almost
completely white except for some black and brown spots on his ears and
patches surrounding his eyes. He is a handsome dog with the cutest half
tail that was wagging a mile a minute. Munson needs to work on his leash
manners. He pulls when he gets distracted, and he likes to stop to jump up
for a hug. Because of this, you need to get a sturdy leash at the inside
desk. Munson craves attention and would rather wrap his legs around you for
a hug than go for a walk. He just needs to learn that there’s a time for
both. I’m sure he misses his owner and wonders why he is here. Munson is an
owner surrender. His owner hopes that he will be adopted by someone who can
devote more time to Munson.
Unfortunately being an owner surrender, Munson is not guaranteed any amount
of time. With Animal Control again filling up, Munson needs to get out now.
Come down and meet this special guy.
*Volunteer Update 10/5: *I want to brag on Munson. He is making
improvements in his behavior and leash manners. I have found that if I sit
with Munson for a while and let him have his hugging time, he is much
better on a leash. When we walk, and he starts to jump on me, I quickly
say, “No!” and he responds. He’s not perfect, but he is making such
progress. Munson wants to be with you and to please you. He is so needy for
love. He’s a great dog. He just needs someone to love him and work with
him. Once he bonds with you, he is a devoted companion.
*Update 10/5:* Munson currently has *no* applications–with the shelter
filling quickly (17 intakes Thursday!) his situation is urgent!

*Why choose Me?** *Rob greeted me at his gate and was ready to walk. He’s a
friendly boy and waited patiently for me to put the leash on him. An Animal
Control officer told me that Rob is so friendly that he jumped into her
truck when she stopped. He must love going for rides because when she
pulled in today, he acted like it was time for another one. Rob likes
people and dogs, too. When Jackson was in a nearby interaction pen, both
nosed each other at the fence and wagged their tails. When other dogs came
out, Rob was excited but not in a jumpy way. He just wanted to play and
couldn’t understand why we wouldn’t let him. Rob is good on a leash and
also likes attention.
Come meet Rob today. He’s always ready for a new friend!
*Volunteer Update 10/2:* Whenever I walk dogs, I try to walk Rob first. Not
only is he a great dog, but I’m pretty sure he’s house trained so he really
has to take care of his business when he comes out. I’ve become so fond of
Rob. He wags his tail the whole time we are together, and he likes it when
we stop and I give him attention. He likes other dogs, too, and wants to
play with them. Today, he really wanted to play with Bella, a new dog at
Animal Control, and Janelle. He looked back at me as if he was saying, “Can
I please go play with them?” I would have loved to have seen them together,
but, of course, that’s not possible. I’m surprised that Rob has no
applications. He’s wonderful on a leash, and he’s just a great pal. Come
meet Rob today. He’s out of time, and I’m afraid he’s getting overlooked.
He would be a wonderful companion for the right person.
