Just heard from another PF'r that Brinley (PF name) has left us. Sadly, she was killed by one of her dogs.
Dogspeed, Brinley.
There are no words for the sadness I feel. |

I can't imagine Napoleon or Louis, especially, ever turning on her and I think they must have been so scared. I am sure they are with her now.
This is a huge loss to rescue. She was so young, yet she had already done so much for homeless animals. I will miss her immensely. |

This is such a huge heartache. Brinley has been a PF and FB friend for some time now. Although I never really knew her, I knew she really loved rescue and was so passionate in what she did. RIP sweet young lady. Your babies were with you in life and now...God rest your soul. _________________

The fact that all the dogs were automatically killed enrages me. Her family knew her dogs and knew that they would not hurt her. But the authorities, being what they are, rushed to kill all the dogs that were in the house that day.
So, after being traumatized by the violence they saw, the dogs she loved were killed by some stranger in Animal Control.
That's exactly what she had devoted her life toward preventing.
How profoundly sad. |

I have read some news reports.
I will not post them as it is not my place to do so.
furperson, I understand your feelings but I do think the parents had every right to make the decisions that they felt right for them.
Nobody really knows what happened.
I would want to let her family do whatever they feel is right for them.
Let them have that peace. |

| Porter, the Animal Control officer made the decision, not her parents. |

How very, very tragic. This is truly the stuff of nightmares for me.
I was wondering, does anyone know what the names of her dogs were? Napoleon, Louis, and I think there were two more? _________________

I read about this and wondered if it was anyone from here.
This is a tragic case and unfortunatly no one will ever know what happened. I know from when Luke broke my arm I was very lucky, came close to major artery and I suffered a concussion, had I been home alone I don't know what could have happened and the dog ment me no harm - he was trying to protect me. Some thimes freak things just happen and spin out of control. I feel sick that the dogs were all destroyed but I understand the decision. A human lost their life and they feel at least one of the dogs is responsible.
I pulled up some of Brinley's post before replying. She was a kind, thoughtful and passionate supporter of other PF'ers and sounded very dedicated to her bully's. God speed Brinley |

She was a wonderful person and rescuer. I talked to her quite a bit over the years, she will be sorely missed. _________________ "The purity of a person's heart can be quickly measured by how they regard animals" ~ Anonymous

Namaste Brinley. I only knew of her from this board, but she chimed in with the same voice as me on many issues, and I always appreciated her support on my post.
it seems so wrong |

Brinley has been on my mind quite a bit as of late. She was a friend and a wonderful advocate for those with no voice.
I'll miss our conversations Brinley. I just know you are at the Bridge loving on all of our 4-legged PF friends that are patiently waiting for us.
RIP girl, see you again someday. _________________

Oh my, I read that story online awhile ago...it was so horrible. I didn't realize that was a PF'er! How horribly sad...I too was shocked that they chose to euthanize all the dogs.
It sounds as if she was a great person and very dedicated to what she did. May she rest in peace. _________________
