Post subject: Lost black DMH cat-Enumclaw, WA
Reply with quote

My indoor only cat Max got out on the night of 7-13-2012. She is a small, medium/long haired all black cat with green eyes. She is spayed and is not de-clawed. Max is a shy/timid cat and I believe she is (or was) hiding in the field near my house. She may be hiding in a yard under bushes, a shed, a deck, or in a garage. She has a raspy sounding meow. If you have seen her please contact me ASAP. She will not come to people that she doesn't know. I have been going out daily to search for her. My other cat is very depressed and is pining for her.

Try calling your local animal control to see if they have a trap you can rent or borrow. Hope you find her soon Sad

I have a trap that I check regularly. I have signs posted and have been talking people in the neighborhoods around my house. I also have a sound amplifying device to try to hear her if she is hiding and have been using flashlights at night to try to see if I can find her by making the light reflect off of her eyes. Due to her timid personality she is probably hiding in silence to protect herself. I could very possibly be passing her or standing next to her in the field (the grass in the field is 6 ft. tall) and not know it because she won't make noise and won't come out. This is not unusual behavior for timid cats and makes it very hard to recover them. This is why I am hoping that someone might see her in their yard and let me know. I have delayed moving because I want to find her first. I have ads on several sites and check with the 3 shelters in my area daily. The only thing I don't have is wild life cameras because I cannot afford them, and I can't afford to rent them.
