FRANKLIN, TN: URGENT - WCAC: Volunteers desperately needed re: hoarding situation in College Grove!!! 200 animals & children ...Friday, June 15, 2012 9:10 AMFrom: "Julia Duke" <theprivilegedpet@aol.com>A... morePatti, we are in touch with the shelter every day. My team is the one pulling the sick cats out so they don't get euthanized. I believe there was an anonymous conversation with the media that caused the windows to be covered. There will be so many different aspects of this coming forward in the months ahead. We have the protocol on our website for No Kill Williamson Co. We are all about saving animals. I was told that No Volunteers will be allowed in so the media doesn't get information. I'm sure it's a very sad and volatile situation as the staff scrambles to help. It would be great if they would move the animals off site.
We would ask this group if they could possibly provide support by helping the current shelter residents by fostering a sick animal to save a life. That would be something proactive you could do to help provide space for all these raided animals that you may or may not be able to attend to.
There were 7 cats in sick bay last night. If ya'll are interested in helping, please
consider help save a life thru pulling a sick cat, fostering and giving meds, and returning. Or cage breaks for existing dogs still waiting for a home.
Need volunteers for off site adoption programs badly.
We are NO KILL WILLIAMSON CO on FB and also we have a new website just up.
I am but a mere 8 year rescuer of shelter cats. 600 placed so far and counting.
