so I paid rent on the 1st. they cant seem to find it. I pay it online to the reality company. see it taken out of my bank account; see it taken from the reality company online. they're still saying "dont have it". TFB.

then they say "you have a dog here"....ummm. yes. I pay extra every month for the dog and the cat. well you check that out. I can show you the lease where it says extra monthly for dog and cat.

I really need to get outta here.....

If your using online bill pay just because the money is deducted does not mean the management company received the check. Unless the payment is sent electronically (ACH) the online payment company issues a check and mails it to the payee. If your using a big named bank they hold checks and mail them out well after the date they took the money from your account.

I deal with online bill pay companies on a weekly basis for work. They are a nightmare!!

its called a telecheck. it comes directly out of my bank acount. my bank account says it was taken; the website says it was taken; the people in the office apparently arent getting it, though I've been paying this way for 8 months now

After calling my corporate office we discovered that you did pay your rent in December, for some odd reason we did not receive notification from our online service notifying us of your payment . We truly apologize for the inconvenience that this has caused you. Please not that we have credited your account for the month of January 2012.

already done, thanks. It seems like every year in December, my bills get all fouled up, or something bad happens. HO HO HO

The last place we rented from threw our rent & water bill payment away one month. They were attached to our lease paperwork we signed.
We made the rental company pay the stop payment fees for those checks. And write a letter of apology. And we got a little discount on our rent as well.

Of course that was nothing compared to our mortgage fiasco.

We did our mortgage and the well-known bank said they never sell our type of mortgage to any other institution.
So imagine our surprise when we had made 2 payments and 1 week after the 2nd payment we got a letter in the mail from some other bank asking why we weren't paying our mortgage!

Called the issuing bank and was told they hadn't sold our mortgage because they hang on to the ones like ours so the notice from the other bank was a mistake.
The next day we got the notice from the issuing bank that our mortgage was going to be sold to another bank with a date that would have been 2 weeks before the 1st payment was even due.

Then the issuing bank wouldn't transfer the mortgage payments and escrow account to the new bank even though they were supposed to and our mortgage was coming up delinquent because of it.
All because a clerk at the issuing bank checked the wrong box on the computer screen when entering our info!

It was all very illegal from the selling of the account without any prior notice all the way to the reporting of our transferred mortgage as delinquent.
Both banks were reported to the feds and everything got straightened out without our credit being affected but that was a rough couple of weeks spent making phone call after phone call and getting angrier and angrier!
