Post subject: Gracie Mae's eyes, gross green stuff???

Upon waking up a while ago, I discovered that Gracie Mae has some nasty greenish stuff around both of her eyes. She's never had this before and it's obviously not normal. Both of her bug eyes are surrounded by goo. Can't get her in to see a doc til tomorrow afternoon at 4:30, but I'm really worried about her eyes right now. They dogs went swimming in our friend's lake yesterday, where geese live in the summer. We've gone there many times before and never had a problem. Happy swam too and is fine. Maybe she got something in her training class? The dogs are allowed 20 minutes of free play every class, but that was last Monday. The whites of her eyes look red.

Can this even wait til tomorrow? Should I not take her to class tonight?

My dogs never get sick!

I don't think this needs an emergency vet visit if she is acting normal but I wouldn't bring her to the training class in case it's contagious. Good luck.

TY Catpaws. The vet gave us some $26 eye ointment just in case, but thinks it's likely a little cold that she caught in class or on one of our trips to where ever we go. She seems a lot better today.
