The Wildlife Conservation Society's Department of Mammalogy at the Bronx Zoo in New York City is currently seeking a qualified individual with broad animal experience to fill a Wild Animal Keeper position.
This is a full-time position within the Mammalogy Department. The successful candidate for this animal care position must be enthusiastic, motivated, energetic, and a team-oriented individual with the ability to interact with staff and the public. Responsibilities include assigned tasks such as providing for the well being and care of a diverse collection (through husbandry, enrichment, training and observation), maintenance of the animal facilities and record keeping for animals including mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, invertebrates, and fishes in the collection. Experience:
A Bachelor or Associate's degree in a zoological field or related animal science education and at least one year of experience in a zoological park or related institution are required, or an equivalent combination of education or experience.
