Hi Gang,
Mike from West Virginia here. I have been reading various posts for the last couple of weeks while searching for a new pup.
I had a black lab named Tazer and a springadore named Fia. Still have Fia but Tazer passed after 9 years just last month. I rescued her when she was about 6 weeks old when I was a police officer. She was not just a pet,... she was family. I did not realize just how much until last month. She had complications from a pyo surgery.
Fia is only a year old and is lost without Tazer. So I found another lab and will get her on June 5th. I hope Fia will be happy again with a playmate. This one is a yellow lab. I did not want another black because it would not have been right to maybe compare the black to Tazer.
Since Tazer's passing, I seem to have a whole new outlook on my four legged family members.
I have been reading some of the great stories and great things that some of you are doing. I tip my hat to you!
So thats my story. Didn't mean to ramble. I look forward to visiting here often!

| Hi Mike, it is good to meet you. I am also new on here as well as being from WV. I have been researching for the past several days for a new pup as well for my family. I love so many different types of dog that it is hard for me to choose the best for my family. I have had small dogs and big dogs in the past, mainly outdoor thouh with a couple exceptions. I haven't had my own dog for several years though and have only had a cat who passed awy on New Years Eve. I'm hoping to adopt a dog in the next few days or so. Hope you find you a new pup as well. |
