I officially adopted Possum on 4-22-11. He's been at the shelter since Oct 14th and he's always been "my" cat. All the shelter employees have "their" pets.  To some people, he's not the prettiest animal but I'm madly in love. Animal control brought him in which is highly unusual. Since I've been at the shelter, they've only brought in two cats - total. Possum had just had a hair cut, you could tell he was really long haired and he was covered in cat lice. Poor guy. He has a terrible front declaw job. Poor kid! The MOST FRIENDLY cat on this planet! I stuck with this boy through a terrible shelter-wide illness and loved him when no one else wanted him. He's older and our best guess is around 12 or so years. It took the family months of convincing them that I need a fourth cat. (I did not need/want a fourth cat but I wanted Possum so badly!)
Welcome home little boy.. and I mean little. He's about half the size of my other three.
Can you tell how he got his name?

This thread was dedicated to Possum only. I may share my other kids' stories sometime soon. I have two dogs also, a pit bull and a great dane. |

Happy for Possum. (The pictures are beautiful and so are the cats.)
Such a long wait, but a happy ending now. |

Yay for Possum!!  He is a very handsome cat, and your others are beautiful too!! Thanks for giving him a home!!
