I rescued a blue pitbull puppy that was left on a chain with no food or water for almost two months! I've had him for two months now and he's a healthy 61 lbs at 11 months old. Smile He's turned out to be a great dog that doesn't chew or mess in the house. I've also taught him to sit, shake, lay down, and roll over. I was a little apprehensive about taking in a neglected dog as I didn't know anything about him other than the fact that his owners were bad people. He is so loyal and loving, and is great with my six year old daughter and showers her with puppy kisses! I think a rescued dog is more appreciative to it's new owner as it know's you're a savior. Smile

Congratulations. There are quite a few people on PF who have Pits from rescue. They will want photos soon, and will be eager to share their experiences with you. They seem to be extremely proud of their rescue dogs.
