Anyone finished? I am not! I have my parents done, stocking stuffers for my partner and a few things for the kids (the big things) but I have a ways to go-- this weekend is the plan! _________________

We weren't able to do a whole lot this year. We've actually already did our opening of presents with my stepkids. Luckily my 4 year old is a happy kid with anything she gets. She wanted some movies so I got her 6 new Disney movies for $32!!! So she's done. The only thing we have left to get is something small for my FIL and my BIL. Thinking maybe a gift card to Lowe's for FIL and a restuarant one for BIL. _________________ *Sig under construction* |

I couldn't respond because I have a little stuff, but I am not close to being done. We are going light this year anyhow. Stocking stuffers for Jay and me. A couple of things for the house for us and clothes for my son. I have a couple of pictures I took of my sister and the neices and nephews, she is getting them in picture frames, my mom is getting a sweeper she asked for and my dad is getting the digital frame I got last year that I never used and I took a bunch of pictures for him. _________________

We are sending pics of us and Santa (and Ellie) to all the grandparents-- the photo place gave us the wrong pics yesterday though and I have to go back today to get the right ones…
I have thought of digital frames-- they are pretty cool. _________________

| I'm almost completely done. The only thing left is to buy two Chinese Christmas presents, but that's easy enough. At two of our family functions (we have four we go to every year, two on my side and two on hubby's), the family decided to draw names this year, so we dont have to buy for every single person like we usually do, and that really made things so much easier! Easier shopping and easier on the wallet, too. The only gifts I really had to concentrate on were my hubby's, my parent's, grandparents, and nieces/nephews, and they are already wrapped and under the tree! |

I just need to get hubby's present, then we have his brother-in-law to get a present for. I think he needs a gift exchange present for an on-line gift exchange he is doing with his forum. I think that's it. _________________

I think so. Except stocking stuffers but we're talking fingernail polish, hair things, etc. Just your 10-year-old girl stuff. I ordered somethings from Amazon this morning for my husband and me. Heck of a note when you have to order your own Christmas presents but at least I know I'll get the right thing |

I've picked up a few things as I have seen them, but I haven't been able to afford any major shopping trips. Like many others, Christmas will be rather slim this year.
Sounds cheesy, but I am going to draw a picture for my dad. He has this picture on his wall that I drew for him when I was maybe nine or so, and he refuses to take it down because he thinks it is so clever. It is a lighthouse colored orange and blue because he likes the gators, and he likes lighthouses. For some reason it really amuses him, though I think it is rather gaudy and silly. I am going to make an 'updated' version for him, using oil pastels. It is one of those things he would really like and wouldn't expect. His birthday is this Saturday, and I am getting him The Dark Knight movie, because he really likes Batman. My dad is very special. _________________

Godfish that is so sweet.
As far as shopping, I am not done. I am having a tough time finding things to buy. Do you ever walk through the stores and think the people on your list already have everything. That is how I feel this year.
We do a white elephant for adults in our family pollyanna. I have my nieces and nephews done. My parents are done. I still need a few more things for my kids and their girlfriends. My husband is hard to shop for, drills, snow chains, grinders, I have no idea what to buy.
My Dads Birthday is on the 18th my MIL on the 19th. I still have to buy their Birthday presents. |

Except for calendars for grandparents and parents, 90% of our shopping is done in June when we go to Gatlinburg (I save so much per month for Christmas and have most of it in savings at that point). I do have stocking stuff, but that's tiny....like $5-7 each person. Ok, and gift exchange for dd's class. I clicked done, but I guess it's more like "all but done." |

Done, but I'm pretty much a holiday minimalist. I still have a bit of self loathing because I caved and bought my sister one of those iPod Nanochromatic things and for what? Because it was purple. Sigh. Oh well, tis the season for giving, so I reckon I'd rather give her one frivolous gift that she will really like rather than some other token stuff I think she needs more. She may not have a winter coat, but by golly she has a shiny purple gadget that's apparently really cool.
Unless I see a fantastic bargain on something else that I think someone will like, I'm all done. My husband got his primary gift early because it's one of those things he had his mind set on and I know what that means. He'll just buy it himself. |

And Ellie thanks you-- though she does not appreciate her suit that much, as you can see she does not look thrilled in the picture. _________________
