Post subject: Need tips or advice to get fostered black kittens adopted.

My troupe are 3 black kittens from two separate litters. One large male (4-6 months) and two female sisters (11 weeks). There are so many black kittens up for adoption on various pet adoption sites including the cat shelter my guys are fostered through. I've taken nearly a dozen pictures of each kitten and did the best I could to create a narrative/bio for each one to make them "stand out". My concern is, what else can I do to get these guys adopted because black cats and kittens are plentiful and the most common to be euthanized. The shelter I'm fostering them through is helping with their shots, etc as best they can. Its up to me to get them out there, seen and introduced to potential guardians.

Do you have any advice on the way I should phrase each kitten's bio? Any unique information or technique you could suggest.

I've emailed all three kittens' pics and bios to friends and family -everyone I can think of. I want my three little guys to get adopted and somehow stand out from the rest but I don't like saying that because I want the other kittens on the sites to get adopted too.

[frown] Just looking for some helpful insight. I'm a first-timer for kitty fostering.

Thank you.

I was in a similar situation and found that it helped when I made a cat carrier a safe place for the kitten to go. When she was afraid she would hide in there and she still sleeps in it at night. I could move the carrier into whatever room I was in with other cats around and she would feel safe inside and the others could smell her and interact with her from the outside. The other cats never tried to enter the carrier (maybe because they have only used it to get taken to the Vet) and the kitten was free to venture out when she wanted but retreat when she was scared.

I got her used to it by placing her some really good food inside.

Some places greatly reduce the adoption fee for black cats or sometimes adopt them out for free. That is the only thing I've seen that seems to work.
