Post subject: Duck or Flamingo?

There is a pink wooden bird in the lobby of the main lodge at the resort we went to on vacation this year. My siblings and I would routinely argue about whether or not this bird is a flamingo or a duck. I say flamingo, although I think we should just call it a fluck. Razz

What does everyone think? Flamingo or duck?

Neither, it’s a Blushing Swaose. (Swan/Goose) Laughing

Neat photo of a cool carving.

I vote duck because flamingos have long legs.

Actually, it looks like a breed of duck called The Indian Runner Duck (but in pink!).

See pictures here:

I still say neither. Neck too long for duck. Head shape wrong for flamingo... Goose or swan. Razz

If you'd look at the link to pictures in my first posting, you'd see it's neck isn't too long at all! It's a sculpture of an Indian Runner Duck!

duck....duck...duck....duck... GOOSE.

ok, kindergarten flashback.

I think it's a duck. Flamingos have more of a curved bill, that definitely has a duck face.

does it quack? that'd be a sign too. Very Happy

Okay, quit tormenting the5thbeatle. It is an Indian Runner Duck. If you look at her link, you will see that is what it is.
