Post subject: Need help with vet bills for a sick black lab puppy |

| About a month ago we adopted a black lab puppy into our family. She was just over 8 weeks old and we named her Pepper. A few weeks after bringing her home she began to vomit and was hospitalized twice. Many tests were taken but the vet could not conclude what was causing the sickness. Finally our vet sent us to the University of Pennsylvania and they found a problem with her liver. They took an ultrasound but couldn't see exactly what it was. They believe it could be a liver stunt which is possible to fix. The only problem is the surgery would cost over $4000. We have already put over $4000 into Pepper just from the hospitalizations and tests and I'm afraid we don't have much more to put towards her recovery. Does anyone know if there are financial aid programs for individual owners? I'm desperately trying to keep her apart of our family. |
