Can we get a Christmas miracle? Without knowing anyone in the DC/Arlington area, we are at the mercy of you good people to help get a senior woman's pets home to her near New Orleans. This woman, her disabled adult son and all 4 of their pets were safely relocated to the Washington, DC area during Katrina (a miracle in itself).
All have been evicted from the condemned building they were staying in and the two humans were provided tickets to return home. The pets had to stay behind in VA, safe but desperate for a way home.
The pets are in 2 different locations.
Sarah, the blind Rat Terrier & Soldier Boy the Boxer; both at the Alexandria shelter.
Dell the cat and Ozzie the parakeet are at Animal Welfare League in Arlington, VA. The owner of K9 Cab in LA has generously offered to meet someone half way to get these pets home before Christmas. She has also been communicating with the shelters on this poor woman's behalf. This family has been through enough turmoil already, if you can't help at least pray
If you can offer assistance, please contact Pat at phone (985)789-0746 or email k9cabpettaxi@yahoo.com
**Please cross-post to people and groups who might help-especiallyin the Arlington/Alexandria area*** |
