Hello.
I have seen many posts that talk about breed forums, specifically the Lab forum, and I was just wondering where these forums are located. I don't see them on here and can't find any indication of where they might be...Could someone help me out please?? I would really like to find the Lab forum.
Thank you,
Rachel |

| Actually, posting a link to another message board is not allowed. You can just google "labrador message board" and you get a ton of links from that. |

I hope you will stick around and be a part of Petfinder!
I hope this helps you out good luck in your searches!!! _________________

I don't see why you need to be sorry. Have you googled it?
BTW, welcome to PF! |

I said I was sorry because I hadn't planned on it being against the rules so I was sorry for saying something that could have gotten someone in trouble.
And in answer to your question, no I have not googled it...I think I'm just going to stay here... Its nice here. lol....and thank you! |

No I do not have a lab, but I do volunteer for Labrador Friends of the South Inc, thanks to someone on this site:) I already know a lot about the breed and other breeds as well but I was just trying to find that forum to get some more input for when I go help out. I do however, have 2 cats, Roxy and Gracy...I can't post pictures cause I don't have them on the internet, but I can describe them
Roxy is a 1.5 year old Maine Coon mix that was adopted from CARL (Companion Animal Rescue League). She is somewhat large and aloof but a real sweetheart...she's my baby!! Her nickname goes along the lines of her coat length...we call her fuzzbutt...
Gracy is a kitten, about 7 months now, and she is a DSH gray tuxedo cat with a pink lip...we should have nicknamed her pinky but instead we call her puppy in Russian, since we are Russian and she acts like a dog most of the time. We adopted her from the Gwinnett Humane Society. |

Hey RK, welcome to PF!!! I'm a cat person too! They're taking over the world - one house at a time! Roxy and Gracy sound like very cats! |

| Thanks...Roxy was called Foxy when we got her, but it just didn't feel right calling her that...plus she didn't respond to the name. So, I went ahead and changed it since she was MY cat not the family's cat. I started nicknaming her fuzzbutt cause she was so fluffy as a baby and she's like that now...Gracy's just an evil butt and you can't do much about that...Gracy is my mom/family's cat. I wish I could post pictures...I'll try to. |

Haha... cute!
Now how come you have 2 cats, no dogs and happen to volunteer for a Lab rescue? |

My mother is allergic to dogs, but I LOVE THEM!! I can't have one so I decided to help dogs in need by volunteering...I wasn't looking for a specific breed rescue but I was referred to them from here and I love helping them, they are really dedicated and have saved many pets. I'm only 13 so you can imagine why I can't just go ahead and get a dog by myself. lol
I want to help out so volunteering sounded like the best thing, besides actually getting a job in that field.

You sound like a very cool kid!
Yes, I have a dog, and 3 more dogs and a cat. Can you see my signature? The cat is called Grizzley, grumpy old 13 year old man. He hates the dogs and enjoys terrorizing Brandy and Foster.
The one in the center is Georgia, 5 and a half year old 3-legged Lab/GSD mix. She had a horrible puppyhood, basically an outcast before being rescued. She might never be quite normal (if there is such thing), but she's now the happiest goofiest dog.
Upper right hand corner is Brooklyn, Shiba Inu mix of at least 6 years of age. She's aggressive to anything that walks on 4 legs (see since Georgia walks on 3, Brooklyn gets along with her... )
Lower right hand corner is Brandy, about 4-year-old Corgi/Shep mix (it's the best guess, but who knows what breed). She has this condition called megaesophagus where her food doesn't go down to the stomach, and that pretty much causes all kinds of problem sometimes and she's been having some health issues for several weeks now.
Finally, the one on the lower left is Foster, 3 year old Rottie mix or something. He's the resident comedian, pain in my big fat butt, very accident prone - as in putting puncture wounds by biting himself (chasing bugs or something right to his sides)!!!
OK, I tried to make it as short as possible, but it kinda became long. Aren't you glad I only have 5 pets? |

| OH!!! I never noticed the cat in your signature so I just assumed you ha a siggy filled with different breeds. I never even considered them being your pets...lol. That part about Brooklyn getting along with Georgia just because she has 3 legs instead of four is funny. And thank you for the compliment in your first sentence!! Your pets sound really cool and give each one of them a kiss on the nose for me...even Grizzley if he lets you. Say, you wouldn't by any chance like another dog, would you?? lol...I don't expect you to say yes. But then of course if you, I'd be very surprised and happy at the same time. You sound great too, and the fact that you've helped and or rescued so many is great! Would you by any chance like to volunteer for LFS if you can?? |
