Just wanted to mention that I e-mailed the person that filed the lost report for Joli and am waiting on a response.

update 10/01/07 - heard back from the owner (check out the part I put in bold, how sad and wrong is that!!?? Poor woman never got ANY of her pets back nor any news about them!) She said she would try to find some photos of her pets and forward them to us:

Hi xxxxx,

So glad to see that there is someone who is still trying to find my pets. But I am afraid they have been just taken and either kept or given away. Why, because when I found out that there was a breach in the levees & the 17th Ave Canal, I place a message on the bulletin board to have my pets rescued. There a group from Mass. who called me and said that was a rescue group in my area and I heard nothing more since that day.

When, the water receeded and we were allow back to our homes, I found my pets' (all 5) collars had been cut off them and trashed.
So, if God says the same, perhaps I may be reuinted with at least one of them. I just pray that they are alive have good homes. I miss them terribly.

Oh How Sad - but how many times have we heard this story, collars taken off and left here, there, everywhere? PLEASE do let us know if she sends pics - surely out of 5 dogs, all the pics and sites we have looked at, we can at least put our finger on one!

Thanks for letting us know about your communication - she sounds like a wonderful person (as are all the K pet owners I have had the opportunity to talk to, email, etc)

I know, it's been so frustrating to hear stories just like that over and over again.

Will let you know as soon as I hear from her again.
