Whew! I've had a tough life!! First I weathered the Katrina hurricane, and barely escaped with my life. I was finally rescued, but had almost starved to death in the meantime. I finally made it to Colorado after a many hour truck trip, and then it was discovered that I was heartworm positive.
I was taken to Douglas County Vet Hospital where they cured my condition. It was pretty painful to get rid of all those heartworms! I've finished my last treatment and am ready for my new home!
I definitely need an experienced Rottweiler owner. I'm loyal and very smart!! I need a great new loving home!! I'm more than overdue for some of the finer things in life! I would do best in a home with no children and with no other pets. I have all the love you’ll ever need!

Has Pearl's information been sent to the Rottie Rescues?
They would have the best access to experienced Rottweiller owners looking for a dog. You might also put it up on the Rottweiller club message boards as well.
THat would be her best bet for finding the right person. |

| She is in a no Kill shelter. I just was hoping someone would give her a home. She has been there way to long |

[quote="windhund"]Do you know if Pearl is an owner surrender? Any chance you would have her found report number?
I just e-mailed the shelter, I truly do not know. This shelter is really good about identifying dog but I will let then know about the breed id issue. |

I'm not sure it's really an issue... she may look more "Rottie" in person and her T-shirt makes it a bit tough to get a good idea of body type. The elongated face could have to do with whatever she's mixed with. Will make sure KART is aware of Pearl as they can work with the shelter by looking for the original original family and if that's a dead end will try to help getting her adopted by a new family.
She seems like a lovely dog, thanks for trying to look out for her.
