I've voted for Hillary twice in Senate elections. I like her as a Senator, and I think she'd be an asset to the WH. However I don't know if she will win a national election.
I'm still VERY up in the air about this. Get back to me about this in about 6 months. |

It's way too early for me to decide.
I like Obama. I like the *idea* of someone like Obama--young, energetic, articulate, highly intelligent (ain't that nice for a change? ). But I don't know if he's experienced enough for the job. Same thing goes for Edwards.
Intellectually, and as far as experience, I think Hillary's got them all beat. I'd certainly vote for her if she gets the nomination, but I wonder if enough other people would be willing to? |

Barack with Bill as his VP would be an unbeatable Dem ticket. It won't happen, but I can dream.
Energy, sincerity, idealism and a sterling reputation tied to experience, charisma, and a wonderful international presence. Each props up the other's weaknesses, and they are both dynamic speakers, deep thinkers, and policy wonks. |

STACY!!!
Stop starting political threads!!! Are you trying to get people killed???
To stay on topic.....I haven't really decided yet. But I don't want the NON psychic John Edwards guy. I think John Edwards the psychic guy sounds like he'd be a cool president, he'd know everything before it happened. That way he could never say "Gee if I'd have known that was gonna happen I wouldn't have done it"

You asked "who would you vote for" and I chose Al Gore, but I don't think he is going to run, unfortunately. He has a lot of political "maturity" and experience.
Behind him, I would vote for Clinton. She has the money and the pull, and spent 8 years in the White House, so is pretty politically mature. BUT, I am not sure that the US is going to be willing to put a female in the White House.
Obama was a close third. But I think he needs more time in politics. Plus, I am not sure that the US is going to be willing to put a black person in the White House.
My ideal ticket (behind Al Gore) would be Clinton as president and Obama as vice president. That would be awesome!
I don't see John Edwards getting anywhere. He is just a pretty face. He does not have enough political experience, in my opinion. I would not vote for him as president, even though he is from my state. _________________

Senator Obama has my support. He will be on 60 Minutes Sunday night. I recommend reading both of his books. Unlike many politicians who have the help of a ghost writer when they write a book his writing is all his own words. He's the first pol that I think I can trust. I feel confident that in any areas that his experience may be limited he will surround himself with "the best and the brightest" as his advisors, be they from the left, the right or the middle. I think that his time working as a community activist, being in the trenches, gives him a genuine understanding of the needs of regular, working class people and that gives him a lot of points in my book.
I sense that he really likes and cares about people, that he believes we are all capable of choosing to be guided by our "better angels". This will be the first time in 36 years that I will be able to vote "for" someone rather that voting for the lesser of two evils. |

I have read The Audacity of Hope, haven't yet read The Dreams of my Father but I plan to. Audacity is a great book. _________________ Show me your horse and I will tell you who you are. ~Unknown |

I would vote for Gore above anyone else.
After that, it's John Edwards.
I don't like Hillary. She's a Dragon Lady. Well-known to treat her "underlings" badly.
Barak Obama has too little experience. He's a great speaker, with lots of charisma (I guess), but charisma won't run a country. He needs to prove himself before I'd vote for him for national office. |
