I don't think I'm a pain in the butt at the vet's. Benny on the other hand.... He is a pain in the butt at the vet's. In the waiting room, he's all happy and wagging his tail. Then we go to the little room. He gets put on the table and tries to jump off. We put him back on. The vet does what he needs to do while Benny is whimpering and trying to jump off the table. Benny is known as the 'crowd surfer'.
Last time we were there for his hot spot. They had to bring another vet tech in to help hold him down while the vet shaved it. The tech who came in was the same one who was with him while he had his ear infection. She remembered him. _________________

Legato tends to be a pain in the butt at the vet's - scratching, hissing, biting, hiding under objects that can't be moved - so I try to be nice. My problem is, I hate going to the doctor for me, and I know Legato hates vets, so I end up crying no matter what the vet says or does! |

When I have to take Toby to the vet I'm usually begging their forgiveness for Toby's behavior! Last time we were there, after I finally got the muzzle on him he pooped all over the assistant when he picked him up
I went back a couple weeks later for a cat visit with Raven and the vet told me that poop was on the back of the door all day and no one noticed it! (and this wasn't even the same vet that saw Toby. He just knew that I was the infamous "Toby's Mom".)
To answer the question, no I'm not a pain in the butt, but Toby makes everyone miserable _________________
WE love him.....that''''s all that matters!! |

| I feel I am a huge pain. I ask 5,000 questions, openly question things, and am willing to point out stuff that was missed. My vet has given me her home & cell number though, so she must not think I'm that bad. |

| I'm not a pain in the butt. But tiki is. She will scream amd try to fly away. I went to a new vet yesterday since we moved and he asked " is she a funny acting bird or is she sweet? " I was like UM I don't know. I didn't know what he meant by that. But I try to be nice everone in a vet office. I wouldn't want to make someone mad then take it out on my tiki. Not that I think they would, but you never know. |

| No, I love my vet. There are three vets in the office I go to, but I see two of them on a regular basis. I have 6 pets of my own and numerous fosters and strays, so I am on a first-name basis with most of the staff. In addition, my collie/sheltie mix Solomon was one of my vet's foster dogs, so she asks about him quite frequently. |

| Nah,I'm not a pain at the vet.. I miss my old one, everyone there knew me and my dogs.. The receptionist at my new vet doesn't remember people very well.. I've been there three times just in the last 2 weeks and everytime she asks me if I'm a new client.. |

never have a problem at the vets. She is great with the dogs...even with prophet who is a 110 lb sissy at the vets....it requires about 4 of us to get him into the room but everyone does it with a smile and she feeds into his anxiety the best she can to keep him calmer.
Duncan freezes up at the vet and she thinks i'm crazy when i tell her how bad he is at home, lol. He goes limp which is good for all involved which is shocking, knowing who his mother is.
We tag-team Enid because we both know how to handle difficult buns well and Enid never fails to put up a huge fight. Gromit's only problem is that he insists on sitting in the chairs in the waiting room which they get hysterical at but i am moritifed by....
99.8% of the time the vet and I agree and our heads are already together on problems before we speak to eachother. The other .2% of the time I have some different ideas that she is always open to and vice versa. If I don't agree I tell her and she is never offended and will come up with a different option. For example when I wasn't down with the first talk of putting Enid on benadryl to prevent her 6-8-12 month URI's I told her I wanted to check out houserabbit.org first and talk to some other bun people....she was not offended at all and told me to do so by all means. Turns out she was right and we haven't had one in a very long time (knocks on wood) and Enid is unphased by the process both emotionally and physically.
LOL, the only problem i do have is that she calls me Mrs. X and I keep begging her to call me Court (she forgets). Mrs is old and she just might possibly be younger than me.....haha. |
