Hi guys, just hoping you could help me out with a college decision, there are three colleges that are equally good that I would like to, They are in California, NY, and Washington D.C., I got accepted to all of them, being a girl from chilly Minnesota and based on your experiences which one would you pick?

I'm sorry, but your last option for the poll cracks me up! I wish you the best of luck to become what you want to be! _________________ "The purity of a person's heart can be quickly measured by how they regard animals" ~ Anonymous

| Hmmm...I didn't cast a vote because I can't make up my mind on two of the choices. If you will have a little freedom in spending, pick NY....all the shopping I've always heard about. And you are already use to cold weather. If not, pick California. Warmer weather = having to pack less. Also, pretty environment, plenty of good weather for walks and having fun. |

My main toss ups are between NY (assuming you meant NYC) and California. If it's southern California, go treat yourself to some warm weather and a culture shock.
If it's central or norther Cali, I'd be headed to NY in the blink of an eye.
Of course, I am not involved in journalism/communications so maybe Washington DC would be the better pick in terms of jobs for after school?
Might be easier to just marry the farmer and have 10 kids. How you feel bout' birthin thems babies?
Krista- I LOVE your sig. It makes me laugh. You have gotten so good at making those. |

It might help me to make a better decision if you tell us the names of the schools.
I lived in DC 2004-2005 so if you choose the school in DC, feel free to PM me anytime if you want to know the "In's and Out's" of DC. _________________

I'm still scratching my head and trying to figure out how someone knows they're accepted in August, which is very early for the 2007-2008 school year, but is very late for the 2006-2007 school year if they haven't already sent deposits and are already in the middle of moving in. Are these schools on some sort of weird schedule? |

Could be that the schools are on Quarter Semesters instead of regular semesters. Quarter Semesters are shorter. _________________

| I understand ASU (Tempe Arizona) has a good journalism school. I vote for Cali...but I am also biased being from southern California. |

Don't know. I'm still stuck in the "apply in fall/early spring, find out in mid to late spring, start in August" mode of college, obviously. |

The name of the california college is California State University Northridge, which is in Northern California, the one in New York is actually in Rochester, it's called Rochester Institute of Technology, and the one in Washington D.C. is called Gallaudet University.
I'm leaning towards New York because they get a lot of snow there, and I LOVE snow. We don't get enough in Minnesota!
Forgot to say that I have visited all colleges. |
