|
|
NEADS, a non profit organization that trains dogs to help people who are deaf or physically disabled, agreed to provide shelter for 25 dogs after Katrina.
Working with the Department of Agriculture and the Massachusetts Animal Coalition, NEADS placed these dogs with foster families for 30 to 90 days. If their owners weren't located they went up for adoption.
For more information contact Sheila O’Brien at

I'm sorry I can't find any photos. |

When I was active in looking for katrina dogs little did I know how many came to NH, three months ago I met a alady at the vet her dog was a Katrina dog that came with 40 others to a rescue up north, only last Friday I was talking to someone who told me a about 46 Rotties and Rottie mixes brought locally.
If only I knew back then what I know now......... |
