|
|
| MARL is in need of volunteers at their shelter on South Drive to help clean up. Power has been restored. Be prepared to get dirty. The pets at the Coliseum are in good shape and no help is needed there at this time. The power has returned to that refugee center in the city of Jackson, Ms. Volunteers are going to the small animal shelter for the city of Jackson today to assess the situation there. We have not been able to reach Henry Davis, the manager of the City Shelter, 658 S. Jefferson St. We do know at least two adoption dogs were in outdoor kennels before the storm and do not know their status at this time. If these two dogs are still there, they could use fostering since that facility is about to shut down anyday now in the city's efforts to move to the new shelter on Woodrow Wilson Dr. |

Please contact me if you know of any dogs that need temporary foster care. I can care for 2 dogs (water, food, medical attention) for as long as necessary until the owners are established enough to take them back. I am willing to drive from Clearwater, Fl to rescue the dogs.
