Hi my cat is about two years old. She had only had catnip once and it was only a little. Today we got her a catnip scratcher. She loved it very much. She kept rolling on it, scratching it, and also licking it She looked like she was very high. I took it away from her because I thought she could overdose. Did I do the right thing, please help I need some answers, like if she could overdose. Thanks |

No, your cat will not overdose on catnip. The reaction to the herb seems to be self-limiting. It is not a psychoactive drug like marijuana, nor is it addictive or detrimental... she can enjoy it to her heart's content without any negative side effects. Good luck! |
