i watched some interview on tv and Hillary Duff said she brought her dog to a psychiatrist because of bad behavior...the guy told her to let the dog walk on the ground and be a dog - and guess what? it worked!! hahaha...she was all giggles about it!
i think all the "teen" stars (paris, lindsey, britney...etc...) should be banned from owning dogs! they use them as accessories, get rid of them when they get to big or are poorly behaved & almost all get them from pet stores like that --darn-- wizard of claws place...
i posted this here once before after a friend and i discussed it...i've always wondered if they drug these little guys, especially as puppies, because they will sit so still and dont seem to react to anything for long periods of time - i was watching a tv clip of britney spear's chi...its eyes dont move even though there are cameras flashing, people walking by...nothing just a glazed over stare... |

I don't like Paris Hilton but I do think she takes good care of Tinkerbelle. Just because someone dresses their dog up and 'dolls' it up doesn't mean they don't take good care of them...even though I am not all for dressing up dogs _________________ "The purity of a person's heart can be quickly measured by how they regard animals" ~ Anonymous

for me its not that they dress them up...i already got penelope a sweater because its been so cold out - but at a certain point it gets to be too much, a dog needs to be a dog, not a stuffed animal that sits in your arms all day...
and as for paris hilton...geez dont even get me started...that girl impulse buys pets...she has tinkerbell, that new chi, a rottie puppy, ferrets, a pygmie goat...god knows what else...and dont forget how she "lost" tinkerbell (sad how that made the national news!) when she forgot her at someone's house for a week...britney spears has dogs that go to the bathroom all over her house - she even got rid of her maltese because she wasnt trained...it can go on forever...these stupid girls want a fuzzy toy to give them unconditional love...i think they should just get a teddy bear!! |

I have seen the bags that you are all talking about and they are really nice. They are not really small unless you are planning on putting a dog over 10 lbs in the bag. Its great for Chihuahua or small Pomeraniums. They are totally screened in so they still get plenty of air. Its great if you are going to a street fair where their is a lot of traffic and you want to take your pet but you dont want them to get stepped on because their is so many people. I think it keeps them safe. I wouldnt suggest using them everyday all day though.

I've been looking at those bags recently. I take Ophelia with me most places and we live in the city. We do take her on walks where she walks on her own four feet but When I'm running back and forth to the car or into a store, I think it would be safer (and more comfy) to have her in a bag on my shoulder. Target has a ton of them with little collar clips to keep them from bailing. That makes me nervous though. Nothing like jumping out and getting caught by the neck.
oh an after thought....
I was at the grocery store the other day returning bottle and this lady had an off white fuzzy blanket in the front of her cart. When I looked at it, I realized the blanket blinked at me! It matched her dog and was camouflaging it unless you looked closely. Very odd. |

| pet carriers (that look like purses) are great! i live in the middle of the city and have to take the bus/train everywhere and its so easy with penelope in a shoulder bag....she doesnt seem to mind, generally she just falls asleep in there...plus there is room for me to carry my stuff (wallet/phone/keys) and bring along a small water dish on warm days... |

I got Bella's pj's from jbpet.com they have great prices on clothes and everything else.
I got Bella's bag from the local dog specialty store and she has loved that thing since the minute I bought it. She goes everywhere in it with me I usually take her to the grocery store, the mall, pretty much everywhere. Its big enough for her to turn around in and it has a fuzzy padding on the bottom so she will sleep in it if she's tired. I think its great for them to go so many places, Bella is so great with people and has never barked or bitten a person. She greets everyone she meets with a wagging tail and a kiss. Most Chi's are very "one person" dogs but since she has met so many different people she isnt as attached to me.
Ive seen the new Target line and I think its adorable. I want to get Bella the pink tank top and I just bought her the pink boots. The boots didnt go over too well, they were a bit big. |
