hey ya'll..I'm new too..just wanted to say how nice everyone here is...
I have a couple of dogs that are my best friends..and horses. I live out in the middle of nowhere, and pretty much hate it...but it makes me really aprreciate my animals. I don't really see many people unless I go into town for something. I've been here for 2 1/2 years and have never seen such snobbish uppity people in all my life. Well, guess I'm kinda venting now..sorry. Anyway, hope to make some friends in here, you guys are just about my only link to the outside world..hehe....

sorry to hear that dutchess..hope you'll feel more welcomed as you go. I can sorda relate--lots of nice people doing lots of nice things, but it is hard to "join" a conversation peice when you don't really Know anyone.
So...I'm a stay home mom too...but I hate it. We're a "blended family" like oil and water. Six kids--everyone says we are like the Partridge family, but I say it's more like the Adams Family...anyway...hope we both make some friends here...dogs are great, and I love mine, but I don't consider "barking" conversation...hehe...

Hi everyone,

I live in Montgomery, Texas. I have just rescued a beautiful, fun-loving, energetic, and intelligent Bichon/poodle? mix last month named Nana. I have already trained her to sit, stand, heel, come, and lie down commands. I just taught her to shake hands. Neato! Of course, I work part time at a retail store so I have time to train. I never learned how to train a dog but I educated myself by reading the dog obedience books. I decided that I can do it on my own and saves money. Right now, I am hoping to look for a buddy for my Nana as she is only 10 months old. Hopefully, she will alert me to sounds someday as I was born with nerve deafness (severly profound loss). I also would like to train her to be a therapy dog for hospital visits to sick kids. I am married but my kids are grown and away from here. I would love to chat sometime. Take care. God bless.

Hi everyone. I am new here and just wanted to make some friends. I have five dogs(11 yr. chihuahua, a 1yr chihuahua, a 16yr Rottweiler, a 1yr bulldog, and a 1 yr chow german shephard mix).Also a fat cat and five chickens. People give me a hard time because I baby them , but they are my babies.
