Okay, so my husband comes into the room where my computer is, and I 'm sitting there with Koda on my lap. Koda is about 22 lbs now and it won't be long before I won't be able to do this because he'll be too big! He actually hugs you back. So anyway my husband (we'll call him Kiljoy) tells me I shouldn't be cuddling him like that because it will bring back bad memories!
You see, Koda was found in the last stages of starvation, and Kiljoy figures all the rescue did was hold him and cuddle him and love him (well, duh!!!) and MY cuddling him will remind him of being starved!
So how many of you out there think Kiljoy is right. Not that it will really matter, 'cause I'll still hold him. This is just for fun!

In all fairness to Kiljoy, I love him very much, and he really is a sensitive guy. His point was that if I'm going to cuddle Koda, I should get down on the floor with him rather than get him used to being on my lap, not that I shouldn't cuddle him at all. After all, it was Kiljoy that used to lift Misty up off the floor to sleep on the bed with him when she got spayed (she also had her dew claws removed at the same time and it was very painful for her as they had grown into the bone), and lifted her back down on the floor every morning, in case she started to chew the stitches in the middle of the night, he would hear her. Before her, NO dog had EVER slept on our bed! (At least that he knew about) Remember, this is a FUN poll!
