| Friday 1/18 my cat got out of the house. He has never been out before. His name is Abner. Abner is about 12-15 yrs old. He is a male, neutered tabby with brown hues in his fur and white tipped front paws. His top fang teeth are missing. He has some whitish undercoating especially on the belly. Abner is about 15-20 lbs. He has no meow. If you talk to him and he answers it sounds like a cat with laryngitis. (unless he is howling to fight with another cat). Abner does not like to be held. He is friendly and FAT. He escaped from our house at 108 E Broad St in New Holland. I have had several sightings of gray cats in the Ashlea Gardens village area off Mentzer and Walnut Lane. If anyone has taken in a new cat that fits this description in the last week, please check it may be my cat. Abner will probably be looking for food and warmth since he is an indoor cat. He is independent and normally does not seek out company of other cats. He also likes to scratch at doors. So if you had him inside and he wanted out, he'd scratch at the door like a dog. Please call me at 610-463-5690 (cell) or 717-354-8447 (home) if you think you have him or have seen him. I have contacted every possible rescue, humane league, posted flyers, called the police, talked to neighbors, posted on Craigslist and Facebook, and anything similar. I have his carrier and food outside the door and scattered cat litter for "scent". I don't think I missed anything. Please help if you know anyone who just got a cat over the last few days. Thank you for your help. |
