Stacy is at the shelter because her owners got a divorce and never moved to where they could have her. What a shame because you see Stacy is 11 years young. Most folks looking to adopt a dog wants a younger dog. Stacy will be overlooked again and again even though she is housebroken, likes other dogs, does not mind the cats and is a low key dog. It is just now fair. Stacy is really hoping for a loving person or family to take her in. Her adoption fee is $55.00

#24079 GRACIE is one of several, smaller dogs rescued from a hoarding situation. They have all been shaved down and bathed and are finally ready to be put up for adoption. Gracie is an 32 pound Cocker Spaniel lady dog who had over 6 pounds of matted fur shaved off. She is an older dog, her cage card says between 10 and 12, but she doesn't act old. She should still have a few good years left in her! She has an eye infection that will need to be attended to and she will need frequent grooming to keep her looking and feeling her best. She is available for adoption IMMEDIATELY. If you are over 60 the $50.00 senior discount will go a long way toward covering her adoption expenses. October is Adopt a Shelter Dog month. The Friends of the Shelter will pay $10.00 of the adoption fees for every dog adopted from the St. Joseph Shelter all month.
