I haven't been an active poster on petfinder in a while, been busy. My two dogs, Kye and Carbon, are both doing very well. The last time I posted I think was when we welcomed Hunter into the family.
Sadly since then my other kitten Church had started to become aggressive with the other pets in the house as he got older. I talked to my vet and the vet suggested that there were too many males in the house. My 2 dogs and other cat are all males. Even my room mate was male! The vet told me that the best thing would be to find him a home with no other male animals. I spent 2 weeks interviewing people and going to meet the potential new families and found him a great mother and daughter to live with. They have a female Golden Retriever and live out on an acreage so he can go outside during the day if he wants. They've sent pics to me of him in his new home and he looks spoiled rotten! They absolutely adore him, I'm very thankful that he found a super forever home! I miss the little guy still
2 months later I finally decided to start looking for another cat. I wanted to get a young adult (1 to 3 years) so it would be the same age as my cat Hunter and they could play together but ended up finding an orphaned 4-5 week old kitten on kijiji someone couldn't take care of. So now I'm hand feeding a kitten every 8-ish hours and trying to be a decent cat-mommy. I'm kind of worried, I've never had to litter train anything before D: I'm not 100% sure on the kittens gender either but I'm taking him to the vet tomorrow and shall find out then hopefully! I have a strong suspicion it's a male.
Any advice on kitten rearing very much appreciated!!

The kitten is adorable! I know nothing about cats so I can't help you. Hopefully more knowledgeable people will chime in! _________________ Want to know what I have been up to? Visit my website!

I used to work at a farm that had a colony of wild cats there, and once in a while we would end up with kittens because it wasn't always possible to trap and release before kittens were found in hiding places.
the kitties pretty much litter trained themselves, we put them into it 20 mins after feeding and they all took right onto it. Make sure you get a pan with low sides so he/she can jump in and out which needs to be learned by these little cuties first.
Cute crew, Congrats!

| Great news! The kitten (I called Jet Lee) turned out to be a very smart, outgoing little kitty! He was a male as I'd thought and hand fed really easily. I got him healthy and litter trained and after his first vet check found him a great forever home! I'd love to raise another kitten or puppy in need of a home again. What a rewarding experience! |
