Current economy has been hard on families and pets....We are finding increasing numbers of dogs in Ohio shelters along with more people asking pet rescue groups to accept - take their dog(s). One increasing reason: moving and or loss of home. Dogworks, Inc. is in need of volunteers so we can continue to assist -- we need your help.
Searching for dog lovers in NW Ohio & SE Michigan willing to become a foster parent to a dog in need.
Dogworks Inc is an all volunteer 501c3 federal registered nonprofit charity rescuing dogs from euthanasia & needy situations. No salaries / no paid positions. All funds applied to rescuing & care of dogs. Once with Dogworks, Inc., dogs are examined by a DVM, spay or neutered, vaccinated, heartworm checked and wormed. These needy dogs are then placed into a volunteer foster home where they live while we search for adopting homes. Use of dog crate, collar & leash, first 17-20 pound bag of dog food provided. Dogs receive monthly flea and heartworm prevention.

* For every person born in the United States, 15 dogs and 45 cats are born.
* Only 10% of owned dogs were adopted from an animal shelter.
