Does anyone have an online file storage or backup company they would recommend?

I use Mozy at home, church and a couple of businesses I do the computer support for. I've used it for a long time and it works great. The home service recently increased their price so it's not as good a deal as it used to be but, if you don't have a lot of data to back up, it's still affordable.

I have a friend who recommends Crash Plan. I know nothing about it but it looks pretty good. www.crashplan.com

We get 2.0 GB free storage on Mozy Home with each anti-virus software license. Except for the fact 6.0 GB of free storage only equal enough storage for the pictures we've taken of Chance, I haven't had any problems.

A cousin used or uses Mozy and said she didn't have any issues with it but I should get more feedback as she's not a computer person.

Do you use Mozy Home and/or Mozy Pro?

I briefly tried a free 15-day Carbonite trial and had a hard time getting it to backup only what I wanted backed up.
Plus it said I was supposed to be able to adjust the upload rate but I couldn't figure out how by following their directions. Don't know if the trial version was missing that particular feature or what.
So I got bored with the slow backup and uninstalled Carbonite. With me not using the computer at all, it was uploading at a rate of 2.0 GB per day so, in theory, I was looking at 10 days to back up my computer if I didn't use it at all.

Hubby wants to get a hard backup drive which will be nice but I want that additional safety net of online backup!

I use Mozy Home at my home and Mozy Pro at the businesses I do the computer support for. Mozy Home used to be unlimited GB for about $5/month. It was a great deal then. Now they charge based on how much data you back up. My monthly cost is currently about $70. I have about 700 GB of digital photos and videos alone. That's why I'm looking at switching to Crash Plan. They still have a flat fee for unlimited storage.

I tried Carbonite but didn't like it either.

I just started a Crash Plan trial. So far it's been the most user friendly.

A lot of people use dropbox. I just started trying them out. The software installs just like a folder on your pc and will upload automatically. It will sync to other pc's that you have dropbox on as well.

If you do get physical storage for backing up, my husband got a Drobo that he loves.
