| I am finally done with my Christmas shopping. Hope my kids are happy. I am excited. We are also hosting my family for Christmas dinner for the first time. I am having fun planning the dinner and doing extra decorating. What are all your plans? |

Mog the Dog here.
As soon as we can get the hay unloaded, we're headed out to get our Christmas tree. Squeaky Pete even came out to help:
Well, I thought he came out to help. He actually staked his claim atop the highest bale of hay and wouldn't budge. Here is what he did when I asked him kindly to get down so we could start unloading:
So I had to go up there and try to talk some sense into him. "Pete! Pete! Christmas is coming! Remember? We gotta be good! Let's show everyone how well we get along when the spirit of Christmas overcomes us."
"Uh....Pete...lose the frown there, buddy..."
Ahhh....that's a bit better, and about as good as it's gonna get in this-neck-o-the-Land-o-Plenty-woods today.

I am sure you kids will have a blast! I wish mine were young again...
This weekend I will be putting up the tree. Most of my gifts are bought and wrapped already. Next weekend I will be hosting a family get together for our pollyanna.
For the first time ever some of us are going to have dinner at an Inn on Christmas Day. Last year I spent Christmas on a cruise trying to avoid cooking....
Can we add to this post? How about what is on your Christmas list?
I am asking for:
Doggy DNA test
heavy socks
Cuddles (similar to long underwear)
Yawn, I know!
Have a great Holiday everyone! |

we have mostly finished for the kids but have nothing for each other-- my partner needs to buy for her parents too-- and it has to be shipped across the country.
I want an electric screwdriver, P90X the 10 min workout one, and some kitchen gadgets.... I'm easy to buy for.
What I really want is a new bed-- but not in the budget this year. _________________

My tree is up; my gifts are bought; and I dont want anything except to find a replacement for the little wooden doghouse that plugged into a light socket on the tree. it lit up as well. the cat pushed the doghouse off the table and broke the light attachment. oh well _________________

I meant to decorate a little earlier this year but for some reason didn't get to it until this week. Put my little trees up and have some garland and other little knick knacks. Cheap-o wreath on the door. That will be the extent.
I love seeing everyone else's decorations, however! Love the lights and just the general "magic" of the season. Looking forward to spending time with family- wished I had more time to off to enjoy it but I am thankful I have a job in this economy.
As far as gifting, I've been putting off shopping. I did some early shopping for me, lol, which is sooo easy but I have some hard to buy for people. The nieces have always been hard to buy for- they always had everything so money or gift cards became the norm. This year, they're into their ipods so I'm going to get them itunes cards. Dad was easy- couple pair of jeans from a Black Friday sale. BF is always a hard one. This year Dark Souls for PS3 and Burr Grinder so far. I burned the Black Keys cd for a "stuffer". Mom, still looking but I have a pretty good idea.
Myself- have been wishing for an Ipad for a long time so we'll see. Maybe this year.
Hope everyone has a very happy holiday!!

Awe, Mog - love the pics!!!!!
We are staying here and just celebrating w/ the dogs again this year. (And horses, and Jake the kitty).
My mother always spoils us HUGE and she asked me for xmas ideas.. but she always asks me back in the summer so I don't really remember what was on my list.
All the dogs have their own stockings as well as Jake - need to get some new ones for the horses. My mom sent them a package of their own and I am guessing a gift card to Petco as usual.
It will be a lonely xmas w/o Hannah or Sypder, but we decided to leave their stockings up this year.
I hope you all have a very happy Holiday! _________________

I'm almost finished Christmas shopping for my family. I'm just waiting for my oldest nephew to decide what he wants. I still have to get all the cats and dogs their gifts. Each one has their own stockings. My windows are done but the rest of the house still needs decorating. I at least got the christmas cards done, the first type of cookie completed (5 left to do), a blanket for my father's grave and dropped off the toys for Toys for Tots and the Salvation army done. Friday the 16th is my last day of work for over 2 weeks, can't wait. This weekend my house will be all decorated by Monday morning. I love the holidays, although this year I've been down because everyone just wants gift cards it takes the fun out of Christmas. _________________ http://dragcave.net/user/Cupcake29

My family's gifts get picked up tomorrow (love flat rate boxes ).
I just ordered 12 different types of Tillamook Creamery cheese and a 14 oz. Tillamook Country Smoker summer sausage for hubby's nephew and his family which will be shipped directly to them.
I'll also be sending some cash to hubby's nephew since they had the very sick newborn earlier this year and include something for hubby's oldest niece in with that since they will be together for Christmas.
It's up to hubby to get his mom and his other niece taken care of if he decides to send them something.
And I guess I should pack up the Halloween stuff so I can put out some Christmas stuff!
The tree is decorated and all the lights are up though! _________________ Want to know what I have been up to? Visit my website!
