Post subject: My thankfulness...

As I get older, I realize how much I truly have to be thankful for. Even though I lost my mom four years ago, my dad is still doing well and will be 80 in February. My husband and I both have jobs and our family is doing well in these hard financial times. Our daughter snagged a scholarship to college and with other ones she had already earned, her freshman year was completely paid for. Our 16 year old son who has Asperger's has come out of his shell a little more this year and is trying to participate a little more in high school. He has talked about possibly joining his schools student council during his senior year. This week, our youngest son who is almost 13, finally got a diagnosis on the stomach pains that have been bothering him for over 3 years. It is a condition called mesenteric adenitis. His lymph nodes in his stomach area are inflamed by a virus and can cause pain as bad as an appendix attack. There is no treatment other than tylenol or advil but at least we now know what the pain is. Between this and his ITP that he was diagnosed with in 3rd grade, it is a lot for a 12 year old to deal with mentally but it could have been so much worse. Everything could have been so much worse.
This list could go on and on but I will stop here. Feel free to add what you are thankful for.

Wow dinogal! You all have been thru alot. I am glad that things are going better.

I am thankful for my wonderful mother, father, my two sisters, nieces, and nephew. I am thankful for my wonderful better half, Christopher. I am thankful for my wonderful senior crew, my horses, and my lovely senior cat, Jake. I am thankful for a career that I love and all of the wildlife opportunities it provides.
