A reception to benefit Maryland Votes for Animals will take place on July 21 at the Bistro at South River, 3451 Solomon’s Island Road, Edgewater (just outside of Annapolis). The event features animal-friendly appetizers and a talk and book signing by Wayne Pacelle, President and CEO of the Humane Society of the United States. Tickets are $50, $75, and $100 and are available at www.voteanimals.org. Seating is limited to just 125 people.
Wayne Pacelle is the President and CEO of the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS), the largest animal protection organization in the world. He is one of the most effective advocates for animal welfare.
MVFA is the most effective state organization working to protect Maryland’s animals.
MVFA played a leading role in making 2011 the most successful year ever for animal protection legislation at the Maryland General Assembly. Five major animal protection bills were signed into law.
