Hello everyone,
I'm new here but have been reading the posts for a week or so now.
Our family just moved out to the West Coast about a month ago and now that we're settled we're in the process of trying to find a four legged family member to adopt.
We've adopted in the past but our precious Molly passed away a little over a year ago and there's a big hole in our family where something warm and cuddly used to be.
Right now we're waiting to hear on a GSP/Pointer cross that may or may not be officially adopted by his foster family. It's agony waiting to hear but at least he'll have a good home either way.
Anyway--just wanted to introduce myself, say hi and have other animal lovers to talk with.
Have a great day! |

Thanks for the welcome!
I'm from the West coast of Canada in the province of British Columbia. I'm originally from the prairies and since we just moved here it's taking me a while to get used to all the mountains. |

Hi there! There are a few BC folk on here—I can think of about 3 of us off the top of my head. There is probably more. Welcome.
Welcome to Gods country/Lotus Land!
I lived in Alta for less than a year and could never get used to the flat!
Now that you are here you must purchase sandals that are to worn 12 months of the year and a rain coat (or three).
Oh yeah—and I hope you like coffee... we are suspicious of those who don’t...

LOL elliesmum,
Yes, I have stocked up on the required sandals but I'm unclear--do I wear them with or without socks during the winter months?
As for the coffee--I can attribute at least half of my personality traits to caffeine so I think I'm safe on that front as well.
Thanks for the welcome! |

Hmm socks are allowable during Oct-Feb months... But I don’t bother—they just get wet and soggy. I have Birkenstocks and snowboots. That’s all I need for any occasion! _________________

Good to know. At any rate it'll be a welcome change from the -40 degree winters I'm used to back home in Winnipeg. |

| Hi here is another Canadian from Ontario just joined today though I have been reading the Public Forums for ages. I have been doing Cat Rescue for 20 years and I also take in some dogs as they come my way for help. I just had to let my 15 yr old Golden go. I only had her a year and a half when her family moved 3000 miles and could not take her. at that age it would be unlikely anyone would take her. She was a dear. |
