Post subject: Rattlesnake Aversion Training for Dogs
Reply with quote

Mountains Restoration Trust is an environmental group, but we also understand that part of environmental safety is also protecting those that enjoy the outdoors too. MRT is holding a Rattlesnake Aversion Training for Dogs class Saturday August 7th and Sunday August 8th, 2010. This is a really great opportunity to protect the dogs and their owners from the potential dangers of these hot summer months. It will be taught by a highly qualified and experienced trainer and handlers. The dogs will be taught to associate the smell of a rattlesnake with correction. They will be using real rattlers that have been fitted with a protective helmet and a special electronic collar will simulate the bite of the rattlesnake for your dogs. By doing so, a dog's avoidance behavior may also alert their owner to danger that otherwise may have caused trouble. Each training session will last 30 mins with each dog. Space is limited so reservations are required. You can register online at www.mountainstrust.org or call (818) 591-1701 ext. 2. Mountains Restoration Trust is a 501(c(|)3 nonprofit organization, a California Public Benefit Corporation To Preserve and Enhance the Natural Resources of the Santa Monica Mountains.
