Post subject: Volunteers Needed - Bond County Humane Society, Illinois
Reply with quote

Bond County Humane Society is in great need this summer and fall of volunteers who can be depended upon to work at least one morning shift or one evening shift a week.

IMMEDIATE OPENINGS FOR QUALIFIED:
Shift Leaders - to supervise regular morning or evening shifts of volunteers and fill in for no-shows.
Clerical Workers - to enter data on paper into the computer, to organize and reconcile various program reports.
Adoption Day Workers - to travel to locations on Saturdays, set up and break down animal crates and tables, screen potential adopting families.

Volunteers are desperately needed to help perform various office and shelter care duties: answer phone calls, enter data into computer systems, perform adoptions, feed animals, clean cages, kennels and litter boxes, clean work areas, clean equipment and more.

Anyone interested in volunteering should call (618)664-4068. Or visit http://www.bondcohs.petfinder.com/

This is the perfect unpaid job for teenagers age 14 and up, retirees, part-time employees with extra hours to fill and students seeking more experience before entering veterinary studies. Once accepted, we will train interested and responsible individuals with valuable skills which are simple to pick up. We ask that you be prepared to follow all shelter rules, take directions and suggestions from shift supervisors and show up on time for your scheduled shift every week as expected.

If you would like to volunteer your time or talent please call Bond County Humane Society to find out how we can use your help. You can also fill out the volunteer application on our website and mail (or even email) it to us. Visit http://www.bondcohs.petfinder.com/

Our Mission Statement: Bond County Humane Society (BCHS) exists to provide temporary sanctuary for unwanted, lost and neglected animals for ultimate placement in loving and responsible homes. BCHS is a nonprofit charitable organization committed to promote animal welfare through education and actively encourage pet population reduction. We are dedicated to creating, in Bond County, an environment that enhances awareness of homeless animals and support for the humane treatment of these animals.

BCHS is based on the core value that all animals deserve to be treated in a humane manner. Dogs and cats with no home need temporary shelter until a permanent, loving home can be found for them. We believe that awareness and education allows animals and humans to come together, for the benefit of both.

If you agree with our mission statement please complete the application. This form will help us determine the amount of training you will need and to identify the most appropriate place for you in our volunteer program.
