Hi and Hello Petfinder Forums,

Well after a struggle and an anxious wait for my registration to get verified, here I am. Im a college student currently enrolled at Ferris State University in big Rapids though I orginally from Southeastern Michigan.

I haunt Petfinder because my first ever dog was a gorgeous Golden Retriever rescued from a house where she was tied up all day, all night 24/7 and pretty much ignored for about a year of her life. She was picked up by a friend of the family and brought to us, and was a dedicated and loyal companion for 13yrs before passing away last summer. She was truly one of the those once in a lifetime dogs and I will be forever grateful to the shelter community.

After losing her I began to work at the Animal Welfare Society of Southeastern Michigan to get my "puppy fix" and help other families find that special bond that only a shelter dog can give you. I hope to connect with other shelter volunteers in both michigan and the outlying states. I know no better place to meet like minded dog/cat lovers than here on Petfinder.

If i can figure this out I will try to include some pictures of my late Cassy and my fathers current dog, which is the only pup in my life Sophie. I will also try to include a picture of "wags" my families first foster pup seeking his own forever home.

Hi cupcake--welcome to PF.

You may want to post in the more popular forums, like Animal Community or General Community. Not too many people even check the Making Friends forum.

Only 1 problem-you seem to have 2 accounts, cupcakebandit and cupcakebandit1.

Only 1 account is allowed, so you should probably ask admin to delete the second account.
