The Washington Humane Society is seeking compassionate, motivated, responsible individuals to join the Animal Care team at our New York Avenue location.
Must have the ability to handle multiple priorities, and self-direct in a fast-paced environment. It is the responsibility of the Animal Care team to ensure the physical and emotional well-being of all the animals in our care. Great opportunity to learn all aspects of Animal Welfare as you will be responsible for all hands-on care, assist with medical care and behavior enrichment as well as promote animals for adoption.
High school diploma or equivalent required, college courses preferred. Experience with animal handling a plus. Full time position with rotating work schedule. Successful completion of basic training program and general knowledge exam required.
